​Mr. Bergmann is originally from the rural northeast Iowa town of Frederika. He graduated from Sumner High in 2005. He subsequently attended the University of Northern Iowa with a scholarship for Social & Behavioral Sciences. He graduated in 2009 with a major in Political Science and minors in Law & Politics and International Affairs. Mr. Bergmann then attended Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa.

 

While a law student at Drake Law School, Mr. Bergmann worked for two and a half years as a law clerk at the Parrish Kruidenier Law Firm in Des Moines, Iowa. In this position, Mr. Bergmann worked closely with attorneys on cases in a variety of areas such as: appellate law, immigration law, school bullying, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, assault, wrongful death, 1983-Civil Rights violations, employment/labor law, OWI/DUI, burglary, theft, drug/controlled substances, sexual assault/enticement, and murder.

 

Upon graduating from Drake Law School and being admitted to the Iowa State Bar, Mr. Bergmann felt he could best serve the needs of his clients through practicing in a small firm and thus he founded the Bergmann Law Firm.

 

Mr. Bergmann has based the Bergmann Law Firm upon the principles of being defendants’ last hope when they face dire circumstances. He deeply believes in the basic principles of the law such as innocent until proven guilty, people knowing and exercising their rights, and everyone having their day in court.
