The Iowa Supreme Court has taken a major step toward protecting defendants last month in the case of State v. Howard (suppressing a confession gathered through false promises of leniency by police.) Domestic Abuse – 2nd Offense Charges Dismissed for Bergmann Law Client
Recently the Bergmann Law Firm represented a client facing charges of Domestic Abuse – 2nd Offense, and Aggravated Misdemeanor. Upon advice from counsel, the client decided to take the case to trial in order to prove their innocence. The charges were subsequently dismissed by the State on the eve of trial.
