Deferred Judgment Granted For Bergmann Law Client on Class C Felony

The Bergmann Law Firm recently represented a client charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute (Class B Felony), Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine (Class B Felony), and Failure to Affix Tax Stamp (Class D Felony). A Class B Felony is punishable by up to 25 years in prison while a Class D Felony is punishable by up to 5 years in prison. The Bergmann Law Firm was able to negotiate a plea deal for the cl to plead to Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Class C Felony). At the sentencing hearing, the Bergmann Law Firm was able to advocate for the client to be granted a deferred judgment by the court. The client will consequently be on probation for a period of not more than 2 years, at the conclusion of which their record will be expunged.
